Within the framework of the RSF project "New Methods and Supercomputer Technologies for the Analysis and Forecasting of the World Ocean and the Arctic Basin", the 4th International School of Young Scientists and Specialists in the field of "Operational forecast of the marine environment state” will be held at Marine Hydrophysical Institute of RAS (Sevastopol) on September 27 – October 3, 2020.
The event is aimed to attract young scientists to active participation in fundamental scientific research, to form a qualified scientific community in Russia capable of carrying out research in the field of forecasting changes in the marine environment at the global level. The school program includes lectures by leading experts from Russia and foreign countries, including practice.
Young scientists and specialists (up to 35 years old inclusive) interested in the issues of numerical modeling of processes in the ocean and atmosphere and data assimilation are invited as the School listeners. Among them, 20-25 young scientists-participants of the training will be selected on a competitive basis. The ten best ones - the winners of the competition - will be awarded expenses for accommodation and transportation.
