This year the journal Ecological safety of coastal and shelf zones of sea obtained a new face. Changes were made not only to the cover, but also to the editorial and publishing design of the articles. New requirements for submitted manuscripts were introduced, the editorial and publishing process for processing submitted materials and preparing articles for publication was changed, which will customize the journal in accordance with the requirements of international databases (ISDB). Particular attention will be paid to issues of compliance with publishing ethics.

The work on the creation of a new bilingual website of the journal meeting all the requirements of the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles, Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Telecom, Information Technologies and Mass Communications and ISDBs is currently being carried out. The editorial team began preparing the publication for the application for its inclusion in the ISDB (Scopus and WoS). We are confident that through the joint efforts of the editorial board, authors, editors, translators, we will be able to bring our journal to the required level and achieve the goal set.

Ecological safety of coastal and shelf zones of sea is a periodical with a long history and traditions, which has its own circle of authors and readers, raising the most important, extremely urgent issues of ecology, saving the Black Sea and its coastal territories from the destructive impact of human activities, thoughtless use of natural resources, destruction of unique ecosystems and natural landscapes. Our journal is worthy the global reach. We wish him success!
