As a result of the quality control of Russian scientific publications, the scientific-theoretical Morskoy Gidrofizicheskiy Zhurnal was included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) on the Web of Science platform.
Expert evaluation of journals by thematic councils was carried out using bibliometric indicators of the journal, the results of public evaluation and information on unfair practices in the activities of journals in accordance with the following criteria:
Scientific level – an assessment of the average scientific level of articles based on their comprehensive analysis.
Relevance – an assessment of the relevance of the journal topics and its relevance in the scientific community.
Stability – an assessment of the stability and uniformity of the quality of articles in the journal issues.
Editorial board – an assessment of the level of scientists included in the journal editorial board.
Ethics – an assessment of the journal’s compliance with publishing and scientific ethics (self-citing, cheating indicators, poor or no review, detection of borrowing, refusal to retract articles, etc.).
Design – a comprehensive assessment of the journal design quality (availability of full information in the RSCI, DOI, annotations and keywords in English, control of the format of links in the lists of cited literature, etc.).
