From 1984 to 2004 he served in the ranks of the Soviet Army and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

From 2004 to 2012 he worked in law enforcement bodies.

In 2012, he was discharged from active service, military rank – colonel, FSB veteran.

Since October 2012, he has been working at the FSBSI FRC MHI.
