Scientific Activity

2001 – 2006, studied at the Black Sea branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Department of Physics. In 2006 graduated with the qualification of physicist in the specialty "Physics". 2006 – 2009, studied in full-time graduate school at Marine Hydrophysical Institute, Sevastopol.

Since 2009, he has been working at Marine Hydrophysical Institute.

In 2012, he defended his PhD thesis in geophysics "Dynamic Characteristics of the Upper Layer of the Black Sea Based on Altimetry Measurements".

In 2023, he defended his doctoral thesis in oceanology "Variability of the Black Sea water dynamics on seasonal and interannual scales and its impact on the marine ecosystem".

Currently Arseniy is the Deputy Director for Research.

Research interests: satellite methods, ocean dynamics, synoptic eddies, ocean ecosystem, ocean-atmosphere interaction, wind circulation, oil spill transport modeling and Rossby waves.

Published over 300 articles in the RSCI, including 98 in Scopus publications, and 21 are included in the publications of the first quartile (Q1).

Hirsch index according to RSCI/SCOPUS /WOS– 19/20/20. Managed 2 grants of the Russian Science Foundation and 5 grants of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research. Published over 300 papers in RSCI, including 98 in Scopus publications, and 21 are included in the publications of the first quartile (Q1).

Supervises 3 postgraduate students. Under his supervision, a PhD thesis was defended.
